Maintenance Technician

In addition toour core facility and project management capabilities, our platform offersdirect access to our Best-in-Class services including ESG, Security Consulting,Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience. **About the role:** The Building Maintenance Technician will maintain thebuilding's furniture, fixtures and equipment. This individual will perform basic maintenance/repairs to flooring, walls,plumbing and HVAC systems. In the eventof an emergency, he/she may be called to support necessary tasks in associationwith that emergency. The general responsibilities of the position includethose listed below, but CBRE GWS Local may identify other responsibilities ofthe position as needed. These responsibilities may differ among accounts,depending on business necessities and client requirements. **Responsibilities** + Performs tasks, such as but notlimited to, changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changingfilters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance, workstationassembly and repair plus other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled tradesperson or journeyman. + Readily takes direction from Facility Managerand Facility Coordinator.Willingly supportsteam members upon requests. + Identifies and corrects unsafe workingconditions with management oversight. + Attends training programs (classroomand virtual) as designated. + Complies with all company safety andrisk management policies and procedures. + Reports all accidents and injuries ina timely manner. + Participates in regular safetymeetings, safety training and hazard assessments. + Applies all applicable OSHA andrelated local safety requirements to all assigned work. + May be required to assist with specialevents. + May drive a cart or other vehicle. + Assists skilled trade workers in oneor more areas performing specific or standard duties to learn new skills asrequired for advancement and certification. + May be required to utilize basiccleaning and other chemicals. + Examines mechanical equipment todiagnose trouble. + Adjusts functional parts of furniture,fixtures and equipment as necessary. + May order replacement parts andequipment with management approval. + Inspects completed repairs. + May be required to inventoryequipment, parts and supplies. **Skills/Aptitude:** + Ability to maintain a professionalrelationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers,customers and client representatives. + Ability to work well in team settingand alone. + Basic understanding of computers orrelated equipment + Ability to present self in a highlyprofessional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics areessential. + Ability to maintain a positiveattitude. + Ability to communicate with co-workersand other departments with professionalism and respect. + Good attention to detail. + Ability to work well under pressure. + Good oral and written communicationskills. + Knowledge of and proficiency in allOSHA and local requirements related to all assigned work. **Personal Specification** + Willingness to be open to learning andgrowing. + Maturity of judgment and behaviour. + Maintains high standards for workareas and appearance. + Attends work and shows up forscheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in compliance with CBREGWS Local time and attendance policy and/or client operating hours. + Ability to work a flexible schedule. + Must comply with any dress coderequirements as specific to site location. **License/Qualifications:** **Certifications:** + An appropriate license/certificationfor the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work willbe done is preferred. + A valid driver's license is necessaryfor job specific tasks. **PhysicalRequirements:** + Close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with orwithout corrective lenses. + Comfortable with significant walkingor other means of mobility. + Ability to work in a standing positionfor long periods of time (up to 8 hours). + Ability to reach, bend, stoop, pushand/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40pounds. **Experience/Knowledge:** + High School diploma or GED + 3 or more years of related experience. **Why CBRE** When you join CBRE, you become part of theglobal leader in commercial real estate services and investment that helpsbusinesses and people thrive. The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $55,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $102,500 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
