Key Responsibilities Supervise and train tool room personnel on safety, quality, and production processes. Manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of all tooling and equipment. Oversee the inventory of tools, spare parts, and raw materials, ensuring adequate stock levels. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for tooling to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards within the tool room. Coordinate with production and engineering departments to support new product development and process improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling issues to optimize manufacturing efficiency. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in a tool room environment. Proven experience in supervising and leading a team of technicians. Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and metrology. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting manual and CNC machinery. Experience with preventative maintenance programs for tool room equipment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in using SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture design and modification. Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or other relevant quality management certifications. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of skill enhancement. Bilingual (English and Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.
