Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit at a medical center
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Float required between the main medical center and the adjoining Heart Hospital (0.2 miles)
• Call required 4-5 shifts per 6 week period, including weekends

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required, pending NM/Compact accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, podiatry, ophthalmology, and robotic surgery procedures

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties and procedures
• Floating to like units required as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
