Senior Java Backend Engineer

Salary: $114,400 - 124,800 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years working hands-on with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker and Kubernetes; database design and SQL; relational and NoSQL databases; and CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript; Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and Spring Security; Angular or React; and technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform, Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Preferred: experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, Knowledge Graphs, vector databases, and LangChain; modern frontend frameworks; message brokers and streaming platforms; secure coding; infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation; and open-source contributions.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.

• Design and architect scalable backend systems for enterprise and web applications.
• Develop maintainable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices patterns.
• Implement and integrate Generative AI solutions, including RAG, LLMs, and Knowledge Graphs.
• Build and maintain cloud-native architectures on modern cloud platforms.
• Lead full-stack development and collaborate on frontend and backend systems, including Angular applications.
• Manage deployment pipelines and support system reliability, security, and performance.
• Review code, establish engineering best practices, and mentor junior team members.
• Work with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to turn requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and deliver performance improvements and architectural enhancements.
