Registered Nurse (RN): Emergency Department

Join a dedicated team in a fast-paced Emergency Department, providing quality care to patients across all age groups. The department features a variety of beds and facilities to address diverse emergency health needs.

Position Information

• Department: Emergency Department
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend and some holidays
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: As needed

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 21
  • 12 telemetry beds
  • 3 behavior health beds
  • 5 fast track rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment: Emergency Equipment
• EHR: Cerner

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIH
  • De-escalation training (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
  • PALS
• Years of Experience: 2 years in Emergency Nursing
• Must Have Skills:
  • Clinical experience in trauma and resuscitation
  • IV management and IV drips
  • Support for oxygen demand and handling blood products
  • Basic telemetry/EKG skills
• Preferred Skills: Experience in Emergency Medicine and Psych ER

Patient Population

The department serves patients of all ages, managing a wide range of medical emergencies, including:

• COPD
• DKA
• Sepsis
• Cardiac Emergencies
• Neurological Emergencies
• Stroke

Education Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
