Initially, this role will require a significant amount of hands-on work, but with ample prospects for progress and growth over time. Main responsibilities will include month end close, budget, variance analysis, auditing, income tax, international consolidation, financial reporting, ERP system integration, and implementing scalable systems and processes to support our continued expansion.The successful candidate will have experience managing accounting, tax, and FP&A in an international and production environment and an eagerness to solve challenging problems, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and regulations in a dynamic environment.What you will be doing:Assist with monthly close and financial reportingManage federal, state, and international tax compliance processesTake full charge of the global annual budget, long-range planning, budget vs. actual variance analysis, and special modeling and analysisServe as the primary contributor to auditingAssist with ERP system integrationHire, train, and retain skilled accounting staffEffectively manage key service providers, including external auditors, banks, tax firms, payroll providers, etc.Assist in developing and implementing goals, policies, and procedures for accounting and financial managementCollaborate with cross-functional colleagues and executives to provide meaningful information for evaluating operations and plansLead special projects as neededWhat you bring to this role:A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting8+ years of relevant experienceSolid knowledge of GAAP accountingExperience with FP&AExperience with auditingExperience with tax returnsA strong work ethic, excellent execution capabilities, and a can-do attitudeBonus points for following:Previous major ERP system integration experienceYou have experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of cost accountingBig 4 or other major CPA firm experienceWork experience in space, aerospace,or telecommunications sectors and/or start-up environment(s)Proven ability to implement scalable processes and systems in a high-growth corporate environmentUnderstanding of IFRS accounting principles, along with proper control structures for US/European entitiesThis is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Arlington, TX office. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we're looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that's your experience – then we'll be immediately wow-ed.
