Power Generation TechnicianThe Power Generation Technician at PROPWR is a vital support role within the Power Generation operations team. This position involves working on deployed assets as well as those housed in our facilities, focusing on the installation, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tasks related to PROPWR equipment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with operators and other technicians to provide support, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairsPrioritizes workload effectively to avoid equipment failure and avoid unplanned downtimePerform advanced troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical and electrical equipment and systems utilizing CAT ET and other diagnostic softwareUtilizes wiring schematics and technical manuals and guides to repair, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation and other control hardwareDocuments work performed, diagnostic steps taken, and parts used in the company's Computerized Maintenance Management SystemMust be safety conscious and willing to use stop work authority when necessaryPerform general housekeeping and routine maintenance of Company property, including but not limited to service vehicle and trailer.Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe driving practicesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 1 year experience in a similar roleExperience with CAT G3520 engine packages preferredExperience with Solar SMT60 turbine packages preferredProficient user of CAT ET and other diagnostic softwareFundamental understanding of natural gas reciprocating and turbine enginesFundamental understanding of control systems and instrumentationFundamental understanding of power generators and electricityFundamental understanding of network protocols and communication devicesMaintaining a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record, requiredPossesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, can interact in a professional manner with clients, team, and personnel at all levels of the organizationPersonable, can maintain good rapport with organizational leadership, clients, and teamMust be driven, self-motivated, well-organized, and have good time management skillsProficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related softwareMust be physically able to sit or stand for long periods, work indoors and outdoors, and withstand extreme weather conditionsMust be physically able to safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditionsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the role's essential functions.
