West Babylon, NY

Job Description

Local Class A CDL Driver

Company: Shea Trucking LLC

Location: West Babylon, NY (174 Cabot Street)

Job Type: Full-Time, W2 Employee

Shift: Early Morning Start (5:00 AM – 6:00 AM)

About Shea Trucking

For over 50 years, Shea Trucking has been Long Island’s premier air and ocean freight specialist. As a family-owned and operated business, we don't treat our drivers like a truck number—our owners run the day-to-day operations right alongside the team. We have built an unmatched reputation for reliability across Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens counties, and we are looking for professional, dependable Class A drivers to grow with us.

Why Drive with Shea? (Compensation & Benefits)

We offer a stable, transparent, and highly competitive pay structure with exceptional long-term security.

Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour.
Overtime: Time-and-a-half ($39.00/hr) paid daily after 8.5 hours.
Medical Coverage: Full medical benefits kicking in after just 3 months of employment.
Retirement Security: A fully funded Pension Plan at $0 cost to you after 1 year of service.
Home Daily: This is a 100% local driving position. You will be home every single night.

The Work

Routine: Mostly Drop & Hook operations. Freight handling is rare, keeping your focus on the road rather than heavy lifting.
Variety: Enjoy a change of scenery. You will handle dynamic, different routes each day running between our West Babylon hub, local industrial areas, regional airports, and ocean ports.
Schedule: Reliable morning start times between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM.

What We Are Looking For

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).
Clean driving record and solid commitment to safety.
Dependable, punctual, and professional work ethic.
TWIC® Card or SeaLink Card: Having these is a major plus! (Please note: A TWIC/SeaLink card is strictly required if you are assigned to container work at the ports).

To Apply

If you are looking for a reliable, local driving career with an established company that truly invests in your future via premium healthcare and a free pension, we want to hear from you.

Apply today to join the Shea Trucking family!
