Junior QA

Job Description We are looking for a Junior Automation QA Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in manual and automated testing, a willingness to learn new technologies, and experience working in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications. Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing. Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure product quality. Execute manual test cases when required and validate application functionality. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contribute to test planning, test case creation, and automation framework enhancements. Support CI/CD testing and ensure timely delivery of quality software. Required Skills 1–3 years of experience in Software Testing or QA Automation. Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python. Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC. Experience writing and executing test cases and test scenarios. Basic knowledge of REST API testing using Postman or similar tools. Familiarity with SQL for data validation. Experience using Git and defect tracking tools such as JIRA. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Knowledge of TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus. Exposure to mobile automation or performance testing is an advantage. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
