The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac telemetry and vital signs. They will manage arterial lines, central lines, and other critical care equipment. The role requires skilled administration of medications, including blood products and IV therapies. Candidates must have the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Strong communication skills are essential for working within an interdisciplinary team. Weekend shifts are required, with 4 weekend shifts included in a 6-week schedule. The nursing staff will be expected to float to like units as needed. In this setting, the daily patient census is 26. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing a variety of patient diagnoses. Physical therapy, respiratory services, and other interdisciplinary support will be available. This position will involve direct patient care with a focus on cardiac and mixed medical patients. Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential in this role.
