Job Summary
A Medical Surgical Nurse (MS RN) position is available in Oconto, Wisconsin. The role involves providing inpatient and outpatient care in a critical access facility with a focus on surgical recovery and patient observation. Candidates must bring their Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of inpatient Medical Surgical experience and previous travel experience.

Job Details

• Location: Oconto, Wisconsin
• Certifications and Education: Wisconsin RN license, Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience: At least 2+ years of inpatient Medical Surgical nursing experience; previous travel contract experience required
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); NIHSS (preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior critical access experience
• Float: Float to Emergency Department may be a plus but is not required
• Additional Information: Unit comprises 10 beds Medical Surgical/Swing Bed and 8 beds Emergency Department; team approach includes core staffing of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 2 CNA; routine admits include inpatient, observation, Swing Bed, and same-day surgical recovery for orthopedic patients; the RN may be the only nurse on the unit at times and must be confident in their skills.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• On-Call/Call Back Requirements: None required.
• Billing: Unbillable orientation from Sunday to Saturday, 8 hours; candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hours for a quick start.
• Additional notes: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Bellin Health.
