Assistant Property Manager

We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of an affordable housing community.

This role assists with resident relations, leasing, rent collection, recertifications, inspections, maintenance coordination, and property compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily property operations and resident services.
• Collect and process rent payments and resident charges.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and prepare notices as needed.
• Assist with leasing, move-ins, move-outs, and unit inspections.
• Complete annual and interim resident recertifications.
• Maintain accurate resident and property files.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders.
• Respond to resident questions, concerns, and lease violations.
• Assist with occupancy, vacancy tracking, and compliance requirements.
• Support the Property Manager with reports, audits, and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in property management, leasing, housing, customer service, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information and detailed documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management systems.
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

• Experience with HUD, public housing, Section 8, or affordable housing programs.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord/tenant regulations.
• Experience with resident recertifications and compliance files
