Step into a vital role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with an exceptional K-2 autism classroom. This full-time, onsite contract extends through May 2027, offering the opportunity to build strong connections and make a lasting difference in students' early educational experiences. You’ll foster a welcoming, supportive environment for a small group of mostly non-verbal children with adaptive needs, playing a key part in their growth and development.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Georgia Special Education License with Adaptive Curriculum Certification or endorsement (required)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, particularly those who are non-verbal and require adaptive supports
• Passion for individualized learning, patience, and strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that address students’ unique abilities and needs
• Comfortable working onsite each day in a specialized classroom setting

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction and individualized support to students with autism in kindergarten through second grade
• Adapt curriculum and modify activities to meet a range of cognitive, communication, and sensory needs
• Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and measure student progress
• Maintain consistent communication and partnerships with families, specialists, and school staff
• Develop IEPs in collaboration with the student support team and monitor progress toward individualized goals
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
