Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ specific mental health needs, formulating individualized treatment plans that guide their therapeutic journey.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client, facilitating effective therapy sessions for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure all-encompassing care that addresses both physical and mental health concerns.
  • Provide responsive crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute distress, demonstrating both expertise and compassion in high-pressure situations.
  • Engage collaboratively in community outreach initiatives, working proactively to promote mental health awareness, educate the public, and reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a varied client base, including individuals from different cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This diversity ensures a rich, engaging practice that enhances your clinical experience and cultural competence, enabling you to address an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role will significantly impact the lives of community members, promoting healing and resilience amongst your clients.

Qualifications

  • An independent and active state license as a Mental Health Therapist, including LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
  • A master’s degree or doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients throughout their healing processes.
  • Proven cultural competence in working with a diverse clientele, respecting and valuing their backgrounds and experiences.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and maintain precise documentation that complies with regulatory and organizational guidelines.

Preferred Experience

  • A background in community mental health, trauma-informed care, or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience using telehealth platforms and client management systems to facilitate service delivery and documentation.
  • Proficient in utilizing various treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
