Southeastern Virginia Health System (SEVHS) is re-establishing enhanced dental services for our community , and we are seeking caring, compassionate Dental Assistants to join our dynamic team in Newport News, Virginia .

In this role, you will work directly with all populations - insured, uninsured and underinsured who may lack dental insurance, making a profound impact on local community health.

Compensation

• Hire Range: $20.80 to $23.39 per hour , depending upon experience and qualifications.

Services We Provide

• Initial examinations, digital X-rays, and comprehensive treatment plans
• Cleanings, scaling, fillings, and extractions
• Select root canals and routine oral health services
• Complete and partial dentures, crowns, bridges, and other restorative procedures

Key Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in general dentistry setting
• Clinical Skills: Proficiency in taking impressions for complete and partial dentures, fabricating temporary crowns, and assisting with restorative and prosthodontic procedures.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and digital X-rays, and dental charting. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
• Radiology Certification: Dental radiography certification or other applicable qualifications in accordance with Virginia requirements.
• Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English) applicants are a major plus
