Forklift Driver / Material HandlerMesquite, TexasType: TemporaryWarehouseSalary: $15 Per HourWarehousePerforms daily activities in the warehouse to ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage and retrieval of inventory for production.Duties/Responsibilities:Drives a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count productUnloads delivery trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, hand cart, or by hand if necessaryEnsures inbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; reports quality variances to the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse SupervisorEfficiently moves product to storage areas, and removes for staging to production line(s) in correct locationsPulls and prepares product for production, matching requests with the exact number and type of materialRemoves finished products from palletizer and places on storage rackingOperates robot trolleys to store pallets in rackingOther duties as may be assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of computerized inventory/tracking systems and barcoding preferredAbility to communicate effectively with a diverse groupProficient with reading and interpreting documentsAdept with hand tools and mechanical equipmentAble to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalismEducation and Experience:1-2 years' experience in warehouse forklift operationsHigh School diploma or GED requiredBi-lingual Spanish a plusCertified forklift experience, or the ability to pass certification testPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Majority of work occurs in a typical warehouse environment, operating a sit or stand forklift. Moderate walking and standing in the warehouse, interacting with staging personnel, unloaders/loaders and drivers. Exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces.
