OFF ROAD OPERATIONS AND EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANJOB DESCRIPTIONClassification: Non-ExemptReports to: VP Operations/Off Road ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptEmployment Type: Part-Time (Full-Time considered for the right candidate)Job Description:The OFR Track Operations & Equipment Technician is a hands-on, equipment-forward role responsible for keeping the Vegas Off-Road Experience track in top condition for every customer session. The position centers on operating tractors, water trucks, and related facility equipment to groom and water the off-road track between sessions, ensuring guest safety and a consistent, high-quality experience. This role also supports general facility upkeep and provides occasional support to the customer experience team during peak demand. Mechanical aptitude is a strong plus — the right person will be expected to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on our equipment fleet to minimize downtime.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Track Operations (Primary)Operate tractors and grooming equipment to prepare the off-road track to spec before opening and between session blocksOperate the water truck to water the track between customer sessions for dust control, traction, and surface integrityInspect track surface and infrastructure (berms, jumps, transitions, signage, barriers, run-off areas) and address issues before they affect operations or safetyCoordinate the timing of grooming and watering with operations and instructor teams so customer flow is uninterruptedMaintain a daily track condition and activity logEquipment & Mechanical Maintenance (Big Plus / May Be Requested)Perform daily pre- and post-use checks on tractors, water truck, baja trucks, ATVs/UTVs, and other facility equipmentCarry out routine maintenance: fluids, filters, tires, greasing, belts, hoses, and basic electrical workDiagnose and repair common mechanical issues on diesel and gas equipment; coordinate larger repairs with outside vendorsMaintain service logs, track service intervals, and keep basic parts and supplies inventory currentRecommend equipment upgrades or process improvements that reduce downtime and improve reliabilityFacility SupportAssist with general facility upkeep — grounds, fence lines, debris clearing, and minor repairs across the propertySupport setup and breakdown for events, group bookings, and special activationsKeep the equipment yard, shop, and storage areas clean, safe, and organizedCustomer Experience Support (Occasional)Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner whenever in customer-facing areasEnsure the off-road classroom is clean and audio/video equipment is functioning for briefingsEnsure helmets and harnesses are clean and show no signs of damageAssist in gearing up customers and strapping them into the baja trucksStep in to support the customer experience team during peak demand or short-staffed shiftsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit in a race/sports car for extended periods of time; to run; to talk and hear; to stand; to walk to site; use hands; to see and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to regularly drive a truck at speeds up to 50 miles per hour or on a designated track and be able to withstand up to 2 G forces of motion. The employee is required to regularly drive a truck around a designated track and jump with the vehicle up to 10 feet in the air for a designated number of laps each day. Employees are occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
