Salary/Hourly Rate

$28.85/hr - $32.50/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Staff Accountant looking to step into a challenging role with strong growth and promotion potential. Working within a collaborative team of approximately seven professionals, this position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant

• Perform daily accounting operations and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Support financial tracking, reporting, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to manage workflow demands and streamline accounting functions.

Required Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant

• 2 to 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs.
• Strong drive to be challenged, learn, and advance professionally within an organization.

Preferred Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant

• Prior background or exposure to Government Accounting.
• Familiarity with Tyler Munis software.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting.
