Research Associate

EmGenisys, Inc, an early-stage, animal ag tech company developing and marketing a SaaS platform to evaluate bovine embryo health, is seeking a Research Associate to serve as a fieldbased researcher to collaborate with veterinarians, dairy producers, breed associations and the Company. This person will develop and test EmGenisys products and assist other scientific studies. The role is dual laboratory and field research as EmGenisys is committed to creating affordable and practical solutions to optimize beef and dairy production. The position will be based in the Central, Southern Tier or Finger Lakes region of New York, USA.Priorities can often change in the fast-paced start-up environment, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities. Support the EmGenisys Mobile Lab in upstate New York Collect and analyze video data of bovine embryos Work with laboratory staff and veterinarians on farm Work closely with cattle producers, veterinarians, ET practitioners and engineers to obtain pregnancy, genetic and other outcomes related to the study Oocyte and embryo searching and handling in the lab (training will be provided) Deliver scientific presentations to livestock veterinarians, dairy producers, embryologists, and animal scientists Attend and participate at scientific conferences Develop and maintain peer-to-peer collaborations and relationships with veterinarians, producers, and reproductive specialists Perform moderate to heavy physical labor in moving of equipment, materials, supplies Support and train research associates, interns, and students Education and Experience Associates Degree or B.S. in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Studies, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Microscopy and Optics or related field Students enrolled in related degree program are encouraged to apply Interest in assisted reproductive biology and assisted reproductive techniques Location / Travel The position is field based in upstate New York Up to 60% travel required EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENT POLICY EmGenisys, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment, and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws #J-18808-Ljbffr
