About the Role:
Wright Bros Renovation & Design LLC is looking for a skilled Shop Painter to join their team in Fort Wayne, IN! This is a great opportunity to bring your painting expertise to a dynamic renovation and design company where quality craftsmanship is at the heart of everything they do.
Responsibilities:
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to cabinets, furniture, and renovation components in a shop environment
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, priming, and masking prior to painting
- Operate spray equipment, brushes, and rollers to achieve high-quality finishes
- Mix and match paints and coatings to meet project specifications and color requirements
- Inspect finished products for quality control and touch up as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop workspace
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines
Requirements:
- Prior experience in production painting, spray finishing, or a related trade
- Proficiency with spray guns, HVLP systems, and other painting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a flawless finish
- Ability to properly prepare surfaces including sanding, priming, and filling
- Knowledge of paint types, coatings, and application techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic
