This contract opportunity is situated in beautiful Siskiyou County, California, and is designed for professionals passionate about helping students with mild to moderate needs thrive. Working full time (37.5 hours per week), you will have the opportunity to create positive learning experiences for a caseload of 28 or fewer students. While this role is primarily on-site, there may be potential for a virtual (VOCO) arrangement for the right candidate, offering added flexibility.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher credential recognized in California
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education
• Comfortable utilizing technology for instruction or reporting, as needed
• Open to both on-site and virtual work arrangements as required

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with IEPs
• Adapt curriculum and modify lessons to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate regularly with other educators, families, and specialists
• Maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
• Implement strategies to support student engagement and success
