Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Overview An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience. Each NVA hospital shares a supportive, commitment to excellent medicine, and provides exceptional service to animals and the people who love them. Responsibilities Gather patient histories. Perform physical exams and create treatment plans. Conduct diagnostics, dentistry services, and observe or assist surgical procedures. Manage patient medical care. Qualifications All Veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate. Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for travel/living expense stipend.
