Position Overview Tax Manager – McKinney, Texas (Hybrid). Our client in McKinney is looking to hire a Tax Manager to help manage the tax practice, set policy, review returns, collaborate with business services teams, and prepare complex tax returns. This role offers growth potential. Key Responsibilities Staff Development & Mentorship: Coach & Educate: Train, mentor, supervise tax staff; continuous on‑job training and periodic technical updates. Empower Teams: Delegate effectively, review work, provide actionable feedback to build confidence and expertise. Career Cultivation: Identify improvement areas, create personalized development plans for direct reports to foster retention and engagement. Client Communication & Advisory: Proactive Advising: Guide clients through complex tax rules, identify tax‑saving opportunities, offer innovative planning solutions. Relationship Building: Primary point of contact, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding engagements, deliverables, and tax implications. Elevate Service: Transform traditional compliance into high‑value advisory experience. Practice Development & Culture Building: Inspire Advocacy: Build a motivated team proud of firm culture, leading to organic business development and referrals. Business Development: Participate in sales calls, draft proposals, generate new business by cross‑selling services. Process Improvement: Seek and implement operational efficiencies to reduce burnout and improve workflow. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing. Experience with QuickBooks. 6–8 years as a CPA in public accounting. 3–4 years supervisory and review experience. Business and personal tax experience. Exceptional computer skills (CCH Axcess, Autoflow, XCM Workflow, Microsoft Office, databases); experience with Karbon a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
