Patient Service Representative/ Medical Assistant

$23 - $25 per hour

Patient Service Representative / Medical Assistant VIP Medical Group (a premier medical organization of two distinct brands: Vein Treatment Clinic and Pain Treatment Specialists) seeks a Patient Service Representative / Medical Assistant to support patient flow and clinical operations in our Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens locations. About VIP Medical Group VIP Medical Group is dedicated to providing specialized, minimally invasive treatments that minimize recovery time and discomfort for patients. Our approach focuses on high‑quality care and innovative procedures in vein and pain treatment. About the Role Keys to success: Passion for patient care, strong problem‑solving skills, a willingness to learn new tasks, tolerance for a fast‑paced environment, and a collaborative team spirit. Key Responsibilities Greet registered patients, triage them through the patient flow process, and ensure a smooth experience. Monitor and maintain clinical equipment, escalating issues to the supervisor as needed. Check schedules, accompany patients to exam or procedure rooms, and assist with walking, transfers, dressing, and exam preparation. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection‑control standards. Prepare exam rooms before visits, clean rooms and instruments, and restock supplies between patients. Take vital signs, update patient history, and assist providers in the exam room; input patient data into the practice management system. Manage clerical duties such as sending, receiving, and scanning medical records; obtain diagnostic reports; and manage charting. Check medication expiration dates and discard expired items. Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and triage calls to appropriate personnel. Provide a customer‑service oriented mindset. Requirements High School diploma or GED. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant. Experience with EMR systems (1 year preferred) and vital signs (1 year preferred).
