Manager, Payer Program Performance

Job Summary Manager, Payer Program Performance is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Program Performance team, ensuring the business performs well against client expectations and delivers strong financial results by allocating resources in appropriate areas. The individual in this role will manage a team dedicated to developing and refining a toolbox of initiatives that can be used to achieve desired performance and expertly deploying those initiatives to achieve results. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Team Leadership: Build and lead a high‑performing team of professionals dedicated to driving performance for payer programs. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Manage departmental policies and procedures. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and implement professional development plans for team members. Dissect client contracts and understand how to achieve the best business results within the scope of agreements; diagnose performance barriers and develop action plans to meet performance goals. Define program goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness. Monitor program performance and regularly assess key metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Understand gaps to achieving performance goals and coordinate across the business to fill them. Ensure performance resources are deployed to achieve optimal financial outcomes. Socialize performance concerns across the business. Maintain detailed tracking on performance against client expectations and financial performance on all programs. Coordinate with Finance team to set appropriate performance expectations for budgeting. Inform contract negotiations by coordinating with sales teams on performance feasibility. Gains consensus from various parties involved. Travel Requirements: Domestic and/or International, up to 10%. Education & Experience Requirements Minimum 8 years work experience, with 4 years in health care and people leader experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Physical Requirements Frequent sitting at a desk. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs. Occasional twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, or pushing.
