Division: Road Transport US Job Posting Title: Logistic Coordinator, Dispatch Time Type: Full Time Summary The Logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing customer requests to meet and exceed expectations, while accurately tracking shipments from pick‑up to delivery. The role requires a team‑oriented, customer‑service focused individual who can learn system and vendor capabilities quickly and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick‑ups and deliveries. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and internal policies. Prioritize time‑sensitive cargo. Work closely with team members to meet or exceed customer service requirements. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and company drivers. Process transportation requests and coordinate customers directly. Use transportation software to plan, schedule, and track material movement. Handle dispatch activities with contractors, company drivers, and partner carriers. Track and trace shipments to ensure accurate, up‑to‑date information for customers. Resolve problems by identifying issues, applying critical thinking, and implementing solutions. Enter accurate data into systems. Communicate effectively with customers, contractors, drivers, carriers, and team members. Promote the DSV Road Transport brand. Assist with new account start‑ups. Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED; logistics or transportation experience preferred. 1–3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics coordination, or related operational roles. Experience coordinating domestic shipments, dispatching drivers, and tracking freight to delivery. Familiarity with transportation systems or dispatch software and strong data entry skills. Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance, or ability to learn quickly. Strong customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Skills & Competencies Proficient in typing and PC applications, including Microsoft Office. Strong English communication skills; Spanish a plus. Intermediate mathematical skills for accurate data handling. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills within a team. Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities. Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced setting. Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and operational needs, including non‑standard hours. Dependable, accountable, and committed to meeting expectations and follow‑through. Strong customer service orientation and issue resolution skills. Collaboration within a team environment and adaptability to operational needs. Physical Demands This position is primarily sedentary with extended periods at a computer. It requires frequent use of hands for typing and data entry, effective communication via phone, radio, and video, and occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching. Vision for reviewing data and documentation on screens is required. Work Environment The role is performed in office, dispatch center, terminal, and operations settings in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Interaction with drivers, dispatch teams, customers, contractors, and carriers is regular. Noise levels vary due to vehicle traffic, radios, phones, and operational activity. Exposure to weather conditions may occur when present in or around terminal yards or docks. Flexibility for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, or non‑standard hours is required. Compensation and Benefits Expected base pay range: $24 – $26 per hour (includes shift differential). Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location.
