Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Belton, Missouri , part of the greater Kansas City metro.

This is a full-scope community Emergency Medicine opportunity with a varied shift structure, a predominantly lower-acuity patient population, and the opportunity to manage higher-acuity presentations requiring advanced Emergency Medicine procedures. Physicians must be comfortable working across days, nights, and weekends .

Schedule & Coverage

Physician shifts include:

• 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 1:00 PM–11:00 PM
• 9:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Days, nights, and weekends open

Clinical Practice

The Emergency Department sees approximately 81 patients daily , with a significant portion of the patient population presenting with lower-acuity ESI Level 4 and 5 conditions.

Physicians must also be prepared to independently evaluate and stabilize higher-acuity and critically ill patients when they present. The practice requires comfort with the full scope of standard Emergency Medicine procedures , including:

• Airway management and intubation
• Central line placement
• Acute stabilization
• Standard Emergency Department procedures
• Evaluation and disposition across a broad range of emergency presentations

Approximately 12% of ED encounters result in hospital admission , and ICU capability is available for patients requiring critical-care admission.

Physician Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board-certified/board-eligible physician
• Emergency Medicine training or
• Family Medicine/Internal Medicine training with substantive Emergency Medicine experience
• ACLS,  PALS,  ATLS
• Current Emergency Medicine clinical competency
• Comfortable performing standard ED procedures, including intubation and central lines
• Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
