About the Role We're seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience preparing business and individual tax returns for small and mid-sized businesses who enjoys working directly with clients and solving real-world tax and accounting challenges. What You’ll Do Prepare and review federal and New York State business and individual tax returns Prepare returns including 1120S, 1065, 1120, and 1040 Provide year-round tax planning and proactive tax-saving strategies for clients Work closely with small business owners to address tax and accounting questions Research tax issues and stay current on federal and state tax law changes Assist with tax notices and client correspondence Support clients with small business accounting needs when necessary Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, accurate client deliverables What We’re Looking For Required 3–4+ years of recent public accounting experience Experience preparing 1120S, 1065, 1120, and 1040 tax returns Experience working with small business clients Strong knowledge of federal and New York State tax laws Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Reliable, self-motivated, and professional Preferred CPA or EA designation (preferred but not required) Experience with UltraTax and TaxDome Experience integrating third-party applications with QuickBooks Online Experience in a small or mid-sized CPA firm Why Join Us?
