Engineering Specialist Duties
You will serve as the Engineering Specialist for dry docks and associated systems; providing technical engineering associated with the planning, operation, maintenance, modification and testing of all systems associated with SWRMC owned docks.
You will devise, implement, and maintain standardized engineering and management approaches in dismantling, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, reassembling, and testing a wide range of industrial dry dock equipment and machinery.
You will perform troubleshooting and analytical tasks to identify issues and provide technical solutions in the form of memorandums, reports and sketches associated with valves, discs, pumps, mixers and agitators.
You will dismantle, move and relocate various types of industrial plant machinery and equipment, and install new machinery and equipment when needed.
You will perform security watch inspections to ensure continuous operation of flood alarms and automatic dewatering equipment.
You will operate equipment used to flood and dewater graving docks as part of docking and undocking evolutions.
You will ensure SWRMC owned docks are certified in accordance with MIL STD 1625 and serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board.
