Registered Nurse - PACUMain Hospital PACU 3 scheduled shifts and 1 call = 4 Start times vary from 0730 to 1030 12HR shifts (if working in Pre-op start time can be as early at 0600 Call: must be able to report to PACU within 30 minutes when on call CA lic required in hand Education: ADN Certification: ACLS, BLS, PALS 2-3 years of PACU/Critical Care Experience (adults and peds) Pre-op experience Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, level of consciousness, and pain management post-anesthesia. Knowledge of administering and titrating medications, including pain management and anesthesia reversal agents. Ability to recognize and respond to airway complications.
