Housing and Community Development, Assistant Division Director, Development

Recruitment Notes: The Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the Assistant Division Director, Development Division. This position would report to the Development Division Director in the Planning and Development Division and would provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the County’s affordable housing development portfolio, including public housing redevelopment, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversions, mixed‑finance developments, Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects, and other strategic housing initiatives. The position supervises Development Project Managers and Construction Managers while overseeing project planning, financing, construction, compliance, and implementation. This position plays a key role in advancing affordable housing production and preservation efforts, managing complex development transactions, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in compliance with applicable regulations. A minimum of four years professional administrative experience in a major component of public housing such as project management or policy development are required.
