Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise database solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in PostgreSQL and EnterpriseDB technologies, along with a strong background in database architecture, cloud-based data platforms, and software engineering. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, secure, and high-performing database environments that support mission‑critical operations. Key Responsibilitie sDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade relational and cloud‑based database systems Create and manage logical and physical data models to support business and technical requirements Optimize database performance, availability, scalability, and security Support database modernization initiatives and cloud migration efforts Collaborate with software developers, system architects, and stakeholders to implement database solutions Perform database troubleshooting, tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning Develop and maintain database standards, documentation, and best practices Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field 10+ years of experience supporting database engineering, administration, and development activities 10+ years of combined experience with relational database platforms and cloud‑based database technologies Strong experience in database design, data modeling, software development, systems architecture, and requirements analysis Minimum 7 years of hands‑on PostgreSQL experience in enterprise environments Minimum 5 years of experience working with EnterpriseDB (EDB) products and solutions #J-18808-Ljbffr Urbane Systems
