Housekeeping Houseperson, Part-Time

Position Overview Work effectively as part of the housekeeping service team to provide efficient and courteous service. The role involves responsibility for housekeeping service areas on guest floors, ensuring the hotel's standards of cleanliness, providing linen supplies to room attendants, stocking floor closets, delivering and retrieving items requested by guests and supervisors, accounting for all stocks required by housekeeping operations, and reporting any shortage to the Housekeeping Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing carpets and furniture as needed, and occasionally moving or rearranging guest furniture. Deliver extra beds and cots to guest rooms. Strip guest rooms and take inventory of bathroom and bedroom amenities. Assist with unloading and storing orders from the storeroom, and dispose of trash following recycling procedures. Operate cart through guest floors to assigned rooms, delivering guest and housekeeping requests in a timely manner. Input real-time work orders via KYC and record any guest concerns. Follow proper Lost & Found procedures and ensure lost items are reported immediately. Check chemical dispensers and refill as required. Remove in-room dining service trays from guest floor landings to the designated area. Support the team by participating in pre-shift and required meetings and maintaining a professional, courteous approach toward guests. Multi-task in special projects and ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions to Housekeeping Supervisors/Managers. Maintain compliance with hotel policies, procedures, standards, safety and security protocols, and personal uniform appearance. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and guest information. About You Passionate about cleanliness and enjoys physical work. Previous housekeeping or similar experience.
