Bistro CookWalk-In Interviews - Every Tuesday: 11am-1pmPart-Time - Shifts vary/Days will vary to include weekends/holidaysAbout The RoleAs a Bistro Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will perform multi-functional duties related to food preparation, set-up, service and clean-up in our senior living community on site Bistro. The Bistro Cook is a highly visible, guest engaged role offering efficient and courteous service to our residents as they enjoy freshly prepared meals and beverages in our Bistro. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age.Your Typical ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook and serve high-quality, fresh food promptly and courteouslyMaintain the Bistro's readiness including flatware, condiments, and beveragesCreate decorative food displaysEnsure food quality, freshness and adequate supply throughout the dayPromote resident and guest participation and accommodate special requestsMonitor and manage Bistro supplies and stock levelsAssist with kitchen and restaurant tasks including setup, service and cleanup as neededAdhere to health department regulations and company sanitation standardsMake hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interactionMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentProfessional, pleasant and team oriented attitudeMust be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written EnglishMinimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in banquet, catering, café, or bistroProven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methodsAbility to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as neededConsistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the communityOffers of employment are contingent upon completion of applicable post-offer pre-employment screenings, which may include a job-related background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing, consistent with applicable laws.Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
