Job Overview Position Summary: This role oversees pharmacy operations, patient care, sales, inventory, compliance, and staff development to meet company’s quality and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and other Walmart‑developed programs in compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes, regulations, and state/federal guidelines. Drive sales and profit in the Pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper stock levels, inventory management, budgeting, and sales forecasting. Model, enforce, and provide direction to Associates on proper customer‑service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints within company guidelines and standards. Oversee community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to contribute positively to the community. Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations; implement and monitor loss prevention, safety controls, and quality‑assurance reviews; develop and execute action plans for company programs and strategic initiatives. Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including training, mentoring, performance feedback, recognition, and fostering a belonging mindset. Maintain confidentiality of documentation and assigned records as required by company policies, state, and federal guidelines. Conduct Associate meetings to address needs, concerns, and issues related to pharmacy products or services; share information on new initiatives. Maintain Pharmacy operations aligned with company and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOP, and QA policies and standards. Advise on verifying and dispensing products, and customer insurance and licensure issues; document changes in pharmaceutical products and procedures; share information with Associates and Managers. Oversee inventory flow; monitor inventory process to identify merchandise that needs ordering; ensure proper execution of inventory flow processes. Manage finances: interpret, analyze, and report financial data; manage budgets; ensure alignment with business strategic requirements; account for assets, liabilities, revenues and operating expenses; comply with company financial policies. Promote a culture of patient safety and accuracy; communicate clear expectations for SOP adherence and quality goals; conduct counseling on new therapies and items; analyze improvement areas and implement interventions to enhance team knowledge and risk reduction. Promote reporting and transparency of errors and develop timely, effective action plans focused on root‑cause correction. Lead compliance‑focused execution by communicating, training, and guiding Associates through compliance initiatives; monitor execution; ensure billing procedures, HIPAA compliance, and SOP adherence; utilize auditing processes to identify and address issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD, or equivalent FPGEC (NABP). Pharmacy license (by job entry date). Completion of an ACPE‑accredited immunization training program (e.g., APhA, Pharmacy School Curriculum, State Pharmacy Association sponsored). Preferred: U.S. pharmacy‑related experience.
