Lead an Established Surveying Practice

We are looking for an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to take a leadership role within our New York operation and help lead the continued growth of our surveying practice.

This is a senior position with responsibility for leading the office, managing the surveying team, overseeing technical quality, developing client relationships and helping drive the financial performance and growth of the practice.

You will have the opportunity to take real ownership of the operation while working with an established team, existing clients and a strong pipeline of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the surveying team and office
• Provide senior technical oversight, QA/QC and review of survey work
• Manage key client relationships and major projects
• Oversee office financial performance and P&L
• Support business development and identify new opportunities
• Participate in hiring, mentoring and development of the team
• Help establish the strategic and operational direction of the practice
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and other professional partners
• This is not a field-focused role. While technical involvement is important, the position is primarily focused on leadership, management, clients and the continued development of the office.

Compensation & Benefits

• $170,000-$200,000+ base salary, depending on experience
