HOUSE SUPV (RN)- Night Shift

Nurse Supervisor – FT Night Anchor Hospital, a behavioral health facility in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include providing nursing care for Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patients in the Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency units and attending safety trainings. Required work schedule: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., 3 shifts per week. Essential Job Duties Effectively directs the activities of the inpatient units and evaluates the appropriateness and effectiveness of patient care during the assigned shift or other established time frame and keeps the Chief Nursing Officer and other supervisors abreast of significant events or problems. Plans, organizes, and assigns staff appropriately according to skill level and patient needs based on sound professional judgment and rationale. Coordinates flow of patients with the Assessment Department for continuity in bed control. Utilizes nursing skills of assessment, diagnosis, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current State of Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a related field, with current validation in area-specific skills. Charge nurse or previous management experience preferred.
