Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Burlington, Vermont. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and current certifications in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a rotating Day/Night shift schedule.

• Required Qualifications: AHA BLS and ACLS certifications, NIHSS certification prior to start, two or more years of ICU experience, experience with large, teaching facilities, and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC from within the past 2 years, is mandatory. Prior travel experience is required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with IV placement, managing multiple titrating drips, critical ventilator care, multi-system diseases, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), COVID-19 management, and other complex critical care procedures. This facility requires complete work history details in the submission, and all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. Reliable personal transportation or a rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area.
