Controls Engineer

We're hiring a Controls Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in the Holland/Walker, Michigan area!

Location: Holland/Walker, MI

Pay: $80-105/hour + overtime

Schedule: Long-term contract with benefits

This is a hands-on role supporting the development, build, debugging, and installation of a final assembly cell. You'll work with a variety of automation technologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidate Requirements:

This role is open ONLY to US Citizens or Green Card holders as all candidates must be eligible for ITAR requirements (ITAR requires US Citizenship or Green Card for this particular position). Candidates who are TN visa holders, H1B or F1 (OPT/CPT) candidates are NOT permitted in this role. This role is NOT open to corp2corp (C2C) or corp2hire (C2H).

Key Responsibilities:

• Offline programming, debugging, and commissioning
• Installation and startup at the customer facility in Walker, MI
• Work closely with the project lead while operating independently

Equipment & Technologies:

• Allen-Bradley PLCs & HMIs
• Fanuc Robots
• Pneumatics
• Servo gantry systems
• Dispense equipment
• Keyence vision systems
• IR heater controls
• Pallet and tray conveyors

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of controls engineering experience
• Strong Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI programming experience
• Fanuc robot programming and troubleshooting experience
• Comfortable working hands-on with PLCs, robots, and automated equipment

Schedule:

• Standard hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Expect 45-50 hours per week initially, increasing to approximately 60 hours during installation
