Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Plymouth, MN — Onsite
Employment Type: 6-month / W2 Contract
Role Overview
BEPC is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our client’s medical device manufacturing operations in Plymouth, MN. This role is responsible for keeping critical production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and equipment improvements.
The ideal candidate brings at least two years of hands-on industrial maintenance or automation experience with a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and production equipment troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a broad range of industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Complete equipment installations, modifications, repairs, and required safety checks.
- Document maintenance activities accurately using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Maintain, track, and support inventory for equipment, replacement parts, and related components.
- Use precision tools and test equipment, including micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and gauge pins.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and business systems such as SAP, Windchill, and Infor EAM.
- Follow established maintenance procedures and safety requirements while supporting a high-quality medical device manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or automation environment.
- Hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance terminology, tools, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience using precision measurement and diagnostic tools such as micrometers, calipers, multimeters, and gauge pins.
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience working with maintenance software or CMMS platforms.
- Experience with SAP, Windchill, Infor EAM, or similar systems is beneficial.
