Check out the Pregis Purpose to learn how sustainability and social responsibility is at the very core of our company DNA.Material HandlerLocation: Bethel, PAShifts Available:7AM-7PM; Sunday-Tuesday & every other Wednesday7AM-7PM; Thurs.-Saturday & every other WednesdayMaterial Handler Job SummaryIn the position of Material Handler, you will maintain distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory; loading and unloading; staging finished product in designated inventory location and maintain general housekeeping.Material Handler ResponsibilitiesYou will safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer material within the plant and within departments as needed.You will keep safety at the forefront of team's thinking and approach to work.You will assist to maintain a safe, well organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice.You will maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock and record location of inventory.You will prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, and securing product in correct location.KnowledgeTo be successful in this position, you will need:The ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others and promote a positive teamwork culture.Be knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.EnvironmentExposure to moving equipmentInside workHeat may exceed 90 degrees FahrenheitHumidity may exceed 80%Noise may exceed 85dB+Personal Protective Equipment requiredPhysical CharacteristicsFrequent standing, stooping, sittingOccasional lifting, pushing, pullingPosition TypeFull timeOvertime expected per business demandMaterial Handler Education and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have:1+ years of sit-down forklift experience1+ years of inventory control experienceExperience with Inventory Control/Warehouse Management software (ex.
