This role requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a field-based project environment. How You’ll Make an Impact Support commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for high-voltage substations, including readiness for energization and isolation/permit-to-work processes. Perform testing and commissioning activities for primary and secondary equipment, including transformers, GIS, circuit breakers, protection relays, SCADA systems, communications equipment, and control panels. Execute functional testing, point-to-point checks, system integration activities, troubleshooting, and energization support under the direction of commissioning engineers and senior personnel. Coordinate with project managers, OEMs, engineering teams, construction personnel, and client representatives to support commissioning schedules and project objectives. Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, including test reports, commissioning records, quality observations, issue-resolution records, and as-built documentation, while ensuring compliance with applicable IEC, IEEE, NERC, OSHA, and client-specific requirements. Support Siemens Energy's Zero Harm safety program, participate in required safety training, and follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements. What You Bring Degree: Bachelor's degree in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical education and work experience. Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, protection drawings, and test procedures, with familiarity with high-voltage equipment, protection systems, and substation controls. Strong understanding of OSHA requirements, environmental compliance, and safety practices for high-voltage work environments. Strong communication, organizational, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills, with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure while supporting critical infrastructure construction and commissioning activities.
