Substitute School Nurse

Health Care Assistant

Administer first aid and medications as needed through the school day. Report accidents and fill out necessary forms. Update and maintain all school state and federal reporting for high school as required. Contact parents as needed Encourage better dental education and hygiene. Secure special health materials for teachers Assist with required screenings as assigned Report to principal any potential health and contagious disease situations for concern of student(s) Make home calls with the attendance officer when needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: CNA, QMA, LPN, or RN licensing preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
