Job Summary

Join our dynamic activities team at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Salter Healthcare since 1976. As an Activities Aide , you will play an important role in developing and supporting recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events designed to meet the unique interests and needs of our residents.

• Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events that meet residents' needs and interests.

• Support, encourage, and motivate residents to participate in activities.

• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.

• Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility.

• Facilitate activities while maintaining awareness of all participating residents.

• Clean up after activities and prepare supplies and spaces for upcoming programs.

• Assemble, dismantle, organize, and store equipment and supplies used for recreational programs.

• Communicate with residents' families as needed and encourage family involvement in activities.

• Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred.

• Positive, energetic, compassionate, and dependable attitude.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Must be able to work the required schedule and rotation.
