Summary Twin Falls High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Language Arts Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love for literature and effective communication. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning in reading, writing, and language skills. Assess and evaluate student progress through a variety of methods, including tests, projects, and class participation, and provide constructive feedback. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and English language learners. Integrate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance learning experiences. Foster a love for literature by introducing students to a wide range of texts, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with educational trends. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns. Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and committees as needed to contribute to the overall success of the school community. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification in Language Arts. Proven experience teaching Language Arts at the high school level is highly desirable. Strong understanding of language arts curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance student learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering student growth and success.
