Most deliveries are dock or lift gate unload. Very Little use of ramp and hand truck. Comprehensive medical insurance coverage with prescription drug coverage. Dental and Vision insurance. 401(k) plan with employer match. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle using safe loading and handling procedures. Review paperwork for completeness and accuracy; check orders for correct number of boxes and correct addresses. Comply with FMCSA regulations. Deliver and unload products using equipment such as tractor trailer, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars and other devices. Operate vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and complaints. Keep vehicles well maintained, safe and secure; report any defects promptly. Supply and back Hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork. Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate. Ensure customer orders arrive in quality condition. Communicate professionally with customers and vendors. Qualifications Valid medical card as prescribed by FMCSA and a valid state specific Commercial Driver’s License. Ability to pass a written exam and road test. Basic knowledge of DOT law and mandates and understanding of UNFI’s safety standards. Must be at least 21 years of age.
