Senior Director, Solutions Architecture/Engineering

Salary: $175,000 - 210,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for 15 to 20+ years of technical experience, ideally in colocation, hosting, or cloud environments, with a background in operations or technical sales.

• We expect deep familiarity with hosting technologies and strong attention to detail with the ability to manage several concurrent projects.
• We require experience with RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes, including response development.

• We expect confidence in presenting, facilitating conversations, and managing high-level activity independently.
• We prefer candidates with one or more of the following certifications or equivalent experience: CDCP, CDFOS, CNCDP, CCNA/CCNP Cloud, or AWS, Google, or Microsoft cloud certifications.

• We lead our Solutions Architecture/Engineering (SASE) team and provide technical direction as well as managerial oversight.
• We support our sales organization by delivering colocation and networking expertise and pre-sales technical guidance to prospects, customers, and partners.
• We design customer-specific solutions and guide engineers and technicians in creating tailored deployments.
• We educate customers ranging from retail to hyperscale on our value proposition and engage in in-depth technical discussions to shape successful solutions.
• We advise customers and our sales team on complex colocation, IT, cloud, and networking architectures.
• We assess existing environments, identify design issues, and help build agreement on corrective actions and implementation plans.
• We translate ambiguous customer needs into clear, deliverable technical requirements and uncover additional or unspoken needs.
• We communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We influence cross-functional teams to align on solution design and help improve our deal process across SASE, sales, finance, operations, legal, and procurement.
• We support our North American platform, including travel for on-site customer meetings and collaboration, with a primary focus on the eastern U.S. market.
