Gastroenterology Physician – Locum Location: Albuquerque, NM. Type: Locums position with opportunity to transition to permanent employment. Job Summary Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage including routine rounding, on‑call service, and endoscopic procedures. The role involves managing acute GI cases and performing ERCP and EUS. Responsibilities Round Monday–Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Attend on‑call duties 24/7, seeing 15+ patients per call period. Manage 5–10 admissions per call period for higher acuity GI patients. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Conduct endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) procedures. Provide inpatient gastroenterology care in a hospital setting. Qualifications Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Gastroenterology. Proficiency in ERCP and EUS. Experience providing inpatient coverage on a locum basis. Good communication and clinical decision‑making skills. Benefits Competitive compensation. Pre‑paid travel and housing.
