Responsibilities The OB Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit. Responsibilities include preparing and providing sterile supplies and instruments to the surgeon, maintaining the sterile field during the case, assisting with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to mother and newborn, and maintaining a safe environment under RN supervision. The technician also completes and processes birth certificates and "Declaration of Paternity" forms as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent BLS Certification within 30 days, maintained current Current certification as a nursing assistant Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent preferred Employment Status Per Diem Shift Variable Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
