About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Reading basic telemetry strips Some experience with CVA and TIA Total joint replacement experience Description: Clinician must take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing the contract. If the clinician fails to score 80% in two attempts, they will be deemed not usable for 6 months. Candidates may not be employed in any capacity with any facility associated with the organization within the past year. Unit consists of 49 beds with a ratio of 1:5. The unit primarily sees patients with CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI issues, diabetes, post-cath, and total joint replacements. RN's are required to interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift. Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are present on this unit. Patient care ratios include 1 Nurse Aide for every 10-15 patients. Available equipment includes BiPap, CPAP, and other respiratory treatments. Schedules are created for a 4-week period using self-scheduling but must be balanced by management. Weekend requirement is 2 weekends per 4-week schedule. For major holidays, there is a requirement to work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day during specific holidays. Floating to other areas may be required if qualified. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract or 3 shifts if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting system utilized is Cerner. BSN requirement is not necessary. Trauma Level is unspecified. Care setting is acute. Division is nursing. Shift notes include every other weekend, days, and first to float.
